Classifying workers in California---Are you up to date on the Rules?
The California Supreme Court has issued a groundbreaking decision in the Dynamex case, which affects how employers determine employee vs. independent contractor status under California law. The new ruling makes it significantly more challenging for employers to classify workers as independent contractors. Both of these issues can result in heavy fines and penalties for employers if handled incorrectly.
Our workshop will cover information and tips to assist in compliance when hiring workers and making determinations of their employment status.
